From the highest point on the course there is a flowing decent with bridge crossing, rock drops and berm rides. Following the decent is a much needed farm road connector that allows for a breath, a drink or an attack. Dropping into the second decent brings on more rocks, wall rides and even more rocks\u2026!!!!<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p>Once through the decent there is a gravel climb into the final forest ascent which is steep and technical. The final decent has more rocks, a light speed bridge crossing and rock ride into the start finish!!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Note: the access is a single lane concrete access road that is used by the land owners. Please use extreme caution entering and leaving and adhere to marshals directions.<\/div>\n<p><b><strong>Race\u00a0Timing:\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>Laptop timing for Under 8s up to Seniors<\/p>\n<p><strong>Race Timetable:\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n09:00 \u2013 Sign on opens<br \/>\n10:00 \u2013 Under 6s fun race<br \/>\n10:15 \u2013 Under 8s<br \/>\n10:30 \u2013 Under 10s<br \/>\n10:50 \u2013 Under 12s<br \/>\n11:15 \u2013 Prize giving for U8s, U10s and U12s<br \/>\n12:00 \u2013 Under 16s, Senior 4 men,\u00a0Senior 2 women, Senior 3 women, Under 14s<br \/>\n13:30 \u2013 Prize giving for U14s, U16s, S2 women, S3 women and S4 men<br \/>\n14:00 \u2013 Senior 1 men, Juniors, Senior 1 women, Senior 2 men, Senior 3 men<br \/>\n15:45 \u2013 Prize giving for S1, S2 and S3 men, Juniors and S1 women<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><u>NOTE: THE REGISTRATION DESK CLOSES 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE START OF EACH RACE.<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Senior beginners (S3 women \u2013 S4 men)<\/strong><br \/>\nThe sport will only grow when we attract new people to give cross-country racing a \u2018go\u2019.<br \/>\nAs per 2019 both the Senior 4 men and Senior 3 women have a reduced entry fee as per a proposal passed at the 2017 Cycling Ireland Off-road Commission AGM.<br \/>\nAs per 2019 the Senior 3 women\u2019s race will share the Under 14s course as per a proposal passed at the 2017 Cycling Ireland Off-road Commission AGM.<br \/>\nBoth the Senior 4 men and Senior 3 women\u2019s races should last less than 60 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Under 6 race<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Under 6s race is just for fun. It is an introduction to off-road racing. It is all about the achievement of starting and finishing. If your child can complete the course with ease and is ready for the next challenge please have them try the Under 8s race instead. There is no lower age limit on the Under 8s race.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Practice times<br \/>\n<\/strong>Saturday 17 June 2023 between 13:00 and 16:00<br \/>\nSunday 18 June 2023<br \/>\nFor the main course<br \/>\n09:00 \u2013 11:45<br \/>\n13:15 \u2013 13:45<\/p>\n<p>NO PRACTICE IS ALLOWED ON THE COURSE WHEN ANY RACING IS IN PROGRESS<br \/>\nRiders must have their race numbers on their bikes before they go out to practice.<br \/>\nThe venue will be open from 8:30 am on Sunday 18 June 2023.<br \/>\nNote: There is no practice allowed on any other day before the race.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location of registration desk and opening times:<\/strong><br \/>\nSign on will take place at the race village.
