Course Description:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

A steep climb across grassy terrain takes you out of the start finish area into a fox glove forest. From the highest point on the course there is a flowing decent with bridge crossing, rock drops and berm rides. Following the decent is a much needed farm road connector that allows for a breath, a drink or an attack. Dropping into the second decent brings on more rocks, wall rides and even more rocks\u2026!!!!<\/div>\n
\n

Once through the decent there is a gravel climb into the final forest ascent which is steep and technical. The final decent has more rocks, a light speed bridge crossing and rock ride into the start finish!!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Note: the access is a single lane concrete access road that is used by the land owners. Please use extreme caution entering and leaving and adhere to marshals directions.<\/div>\n

Senior beginners (S3 women \u2013 S4 men)<\/strong>
\nThe sport will only grow when we attract new people to give cross-country racing a \u2018go\u2019.
\nAs per 2019 both the Senior 4 men and Senior 3 women have a reduced entry fee as per a proposal passed at the 2017 Cycling Ireland Off-road Commission AGM.
\nAs per 2019 the Senior 3 women\u2019s race will share the Under 14s course as per a proposal passed at the 2017 Cycling Ireland Off-road Commission AGM.
\nBoth the Senior 4 men and Senior 3 women\u2019s races should last less than 60 minutes.<\/p>\n

Under 6 race<\/strong>
\nThe Under 6s race is just for fun. It is an introduction to off-road racing. It is all about the achievement of starting and finishing. If your child can complete the course with ease and is ready for the next challenge please have them try the Under 8s race instead. There is no lower age limit on the Under 8s race.<\/p>\n

NO PRACTICE IS ALLOWED ON THE COURSE WHEN ANY RACING IS IN PROGRESS
\nRiders must have their race numbers on their bikes before they go out to practice.
\nThe venue will be open from 8:30 am on Sunday 18 June 2023.
\nNote: There is no practice allowed on any other day before the race.<\/p>\n

Location of registration desk and opening times:<\/strong>
\nSign on will take place at the race village. Signage will be in place to direct riders to the race village and sign on area.
\nNOTE: There are no registrations on the day – only race number collection.<\/strong>
\nThe registration desk opens at 9:00 am on Sunday 18 June 2023.
\nRiders must collect their race number at least 15 minutes before the start of their race.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Race numbers:<\/strong>
\nRace numbers will be supplied by the organiser which should be placed secured onto the handlebars in a way which makes it clear for timekeepers to read.<\/p>\n

\nRace numbers must be handed back at the completion of your race.<\/em><\/p>\n

Gridding:<\/strong>
\nGridding will be based on the results from the series to date.<\/p>\n
