As part of the 3 day Wicklow Mountain Bike Festivals, the cross country event is going to kick off this year’s NPS is style! The course is a perfect combination of challenge and fun in a true spectator friendly XCO style. There will be lots of natural sections alongside forest road and trail centre sections.<\/p>\n

Under 6 race<\/strong>
\nThe Under 6s race is just for fun. It is an introduction to off-road racing. Parents can run alongside.\u00a0 It is all about the achievement of starting and finishing. If your child can complete the course with ease and is ready for the next challenge please have them try the Under 8s race instead. There is no lower age limit on the Under 8s race.<\/p>\n

\nNO PRACTICE IS ALLOWED ON THE COURSE WHEN ANY RACING IS IN PROGRESS
\nRiders must have their race numbers on their bikes before they go out to practice.<\/strong>
\nThe venue will be open from 8:00 am on Sunday 10 May 2026.
\nCourse practice is available on Saturday 9 May 2026 from 10am-5pm
\nNote: There is no practice allowed on any other day before the race.<\/p>\n

Location of registration desk and opening times:<\/strong>
\nSign on will take place at the race village. Signage will be in place to direct riders to the race village and sign on area.
\nNOTE: There are no registrations on the day – only race number collection.<\/strong>
\nThe number collection desk opens at 8:00 am on Sunday 10 May 2026.
\nRiders must collect their race number at least 15 minutes before the start of their race.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Race numbers:<\/strong>
\nRace numbers will be supplied by the organiser which should be placed secured onto the handlebars in a way which makes it clear for timekeepers to read.
\nRiders must not cut, fold or mutilate race numbers.
\nRace numbers must be handed back at the completion of your race.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nThere is a feed \/ technical zone at the top of the fire road climb.<\/p>\n

Gridding:<\/strong>
\nGridding will be based on UCI points and the results from the series to date.<\/p>\n

\nCatering:<\/strong> Packman Pizza, and Trails Caf\u00e9 serving tea, coffee, treats and toasted sandwiches.
\nExhibition Area:<\/strong> There will be a number of bike manufacturers, shops and service providers on site as part of the Wicklow Mountain Bike Festival.
