Course Description: 

The trail fairies have been busy putting in lots of new sections, with fab features to fully test your bike handling & pedal churning. Fire road sections will link up some new slow tech climbing, bomb holes, drop-offs, ditches, fast flowing twisty single track, off-cambers, etc. B-lines will be provided where required.

Camping
There is no overnight camping available at the event car park.
Just 2 km from the venue, we are very happy that Kilworth Celtic FC are opening their grounds and buildings to us mountain bikers.
It will be a quiet campsite with showers & sanitary. Bring your rubbish / recycling home.
Clean up after your dogs & keep on a lease at all times. No dogs on the playing fields.
Charge (per night) is €10 / vehicle + €2 / person.

13:00 : Race 1 – U14, U16 & women (junior, senior, M30, M40, M50, M60).
13:30 : Race 2 – Open (M40, M50, M60).
14:00 : Race 3 – Open (junior, senior, M30).

NOTE: THE REGISTRATION DESK CLOSES 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE START OF EACH RACE.

Under 6 race
The Under 6s race is just for fun. It is an introduction to off-road racing. Parents can run alongside. It is all about the achievement of starting and finishing. If your child can complete the course with ease and is ready for the next challenge please have them try the Under 8s race instead. There is no lower age limit on the Under 8s race.

NO PRACTICE IS ALLOWED ON THE COURSE WHEN ANY RACING IS IN PROGRESS
Riders must have their race numbers on their bikes before they go out to practice.
The venue will be open from 8:30 am on Sunday 16 June 2024.
Note: There is no practice allowed on any other day before the race.

Location of registration desk and opening times:
Sign on will take place at the race village. Signage will be in place to direct riders to the race village and sign on area.
NOTE: There are no registrations on the day – only race number collection.
The registration desk opens at 9:00 am on Sunday 16 June 2024.
Riders must collect their race number at least 15 minutes before the start of their race.

Race numbers:
Race numbers will be supplied by the organiser which should be placed secured onto the handlebars in a way which makes it clear for timekeepers to read.
Riders must not cut, fold or mutilate race numbers.
Race numbers must be handed back at the completion of your race.

Gridding:
Gridding will be based on the results from the series to date.

Notes: Ensure bicycles are in good working order and that bar-ends have been fitted.
No electric bikes or motorised bicycles permitted.
No cyclo-cross bicycles permitted.

First aid location: An ambulance will be parked at the start/finish area.

Prizes: Medals for top 3 boys and girls in Under 8s to Seniors.  Under 6s to Under 12s to also get a goodie bag.

Car parking: Car Park, same as last year.  It is located in a local farmer’s field beside the entrance to the wood. It is approx. 900m walk on forest road to the start / finish area / sign on area.
Toilets: Portable toilets will be on site.
Bike wash: No
Catering: Coffee / snack van
Gazebos: Only organiser’s and sponsor’s gazebos
